Welcome to the new Bullmania

Bullmania first went online in the mid 2000s as a gallery of visitors' bull terriers, with a few articles on training and health alongside. Then life (and volunteering for Bullies In Need, the bull terrier rescue that has since closed) got in the way and the site sat still for a very long time. This is the restart.

What's different

• Everyone gets a blog. Register, and you can write posts about your dog straight away. The site-wide blog shows everyone's posts newest first; your own live at /blog/@your-name/.
• Everyone gets a gallery. Upload photos of your dog to your own gallery. The site-wide gallery is a feed of everyone's newest photos, and you can filter it by member or by date.
• Comments, reactions and votes on posts and photos, for registered members. Guests can read and look at everything.
• A public profile for every member linking to their blog and gallery.

The old gallery dogs are here

Every dog that had a page on the original site has been carried over: Rosie, Juno, Cassie, Deena and the rest of the thirty-four. Each has a member account, a gallery with their original photos, and their story from the old page as the gallery description. The old site only ever kept small 250 pixel copies of the photos, so they are small, but they are all here.

If one of those dogs is yours, the account is waiting for you: it is switched off until we can put you back in touch with it. Email hello@bullmania.co.uk with the dog's name and we will enable the account and set your email address, after which "Forgotten your password?" on the login page lets you choose a password and log in. Then you can add bigger photos, write about what your dog has been up to since, or tell us they crossed the rainbow bridge and we will keep their page as a memorial.

The original site's articles section (training, medical and general) has been carried over into the blog: T.M. Heath's pieces on diets, DNA screening, interdigital cysts and lethal acrodermatitis, Carol Stephens' guide to having a go at showing, and the rest under General. They are dated to their original era and keep their authors' bylines.
